Hello lovely readers, I hope you had a marvelous weekend 🙂 My weekend was busy because I was running around getting prepared for my next big adventure on Tuesday to…SPAIN!

I cannot wait as Spain has always been a dream place that I would love to visit and now I get the chance tomorrow! Now I won’t get to see ALL of Spain, in fact I will only get to see 2 places while I’m there as I’m going for my Lindy Hop Teachers wedding. However, 2 places is better than zero places in my mind, so Barcelona and seaside village of Platja d’Aro is our destinations (this trip).

I plan on taking tons of pictures while there to share with you, but in the mean time I thought it would be fun to share some Vintage Travel Posters of Spain to help you get excited along with me, AND we can all agree that vintage travel posters are just super cool to look at.

Vintage Travel Posters for Spain

First up the iconic image of the Spanish Flamenco Dancer. I just adore her dress in this 1955 poster.

Visit Sevilla in either 1933 or 1955 (I think 1955) to see the famous Flamenco Dancer.

The Flamenco Dancer is so iconic it is pretty hard to not find a travel poster with their imagery on it.

You also cannot look at vintage Spanish travel posters and not post some of the infamous Bull Fighter.

I’m a sucker for a wonderful 1940s advertising poster and this one does NOT disappoint. The wedges, her trousers and sweater are so Katharine Hepburn and I can’t get enough!

Toronto’s Vintage and Retro Society’s “Tiki-Tacky Patio Party”

Toronto Vintage and Retro Society

I’m part of this super cool Facebook Group called the “Toronto Vintage and Retro Society” that was created by my friend “Jacquie”. Its a place to post Toronto (GTA) events, photos, shops and shows that celebrate the vintage/retro lifestyle.

The page has grown to over a 1000 fans in just a short while so Jacquie decided that she needed to throw a party to say thank you to all her fans, so with my help and several other members of the group I bring you our first “Tiki-Tacky Patio Party” at the Cadillac Lounge, right here in Toronto August 3rd (4-8pm) with the cool surf band “Luau or die“.

The Band is not the only fun thing we have planned, thanks to all the super cool sponsors for the event, and they are:

We have awesome raffle prizes, photo booth, burlesque, live band, vintage vendors etc. etc.. You can’t go wrong on a Saturday Afternoon/Early Evening by joining us 🙂

So if you live in Toronto I hope you can join us at the Cadillac Lounge!

Liz 🙂
