  1. Dear Liz,Thank you for your lovely comment regarding the gramophone at the Hamilton Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Very encouraging. It started the Canadian leg of the RCAF WW2 gramophone Tour. This little 1935 gramophone has been playing its heart out at several places that were visited by airmen and women in the Netherlands, England and now in Canada. Both military and non-military places. Toronto is very important to this project that commemorates and celebrates the people who fought for our freedom today. One of the aims is to travel all through Canada and make pictures, video clips and people`s contributions . ie Lindy Hop dancing, or reciting a poem ~(~High Flight) to make younger generations aware and inspired. Literallly going back in the footsteps of the early 1940s. Hopefully Toronto (namesake of York) and Hamilton will start Friendship Twinnings with Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in England. Kingston upon Hull is right in the middle of both counties were most of the Canadians served and will be City of Culture UK 2017. Hull`s Lindy Hop club `Kingston Swing` would love to be involved. I know people here who love the same as what you love and it would be wonderful to share our passion of the Lindy Hop era.
Hope you would like to be in touch

The 1950s style rain coats are super cool and I adore them too. I currently don’t own one myself but would like to change that as soon as possible (especially since spring is around the corner here).
