I love vintage photos of everyday women’s hairstyles. They are real, attainable and not movie star quality. I think it’s just so wonderful to see that not everything was perfect but still looked lovely.

For those of us who like to do vintage hairstyles, I think it’s easy to get caught up in thinking you have to have a perfect style, but these women are proof that perfection was not always attainable (and they still look great).

I have also decided to do this post because I have been noticing that lots of people are searching for ‘1950s women’s hairstyles’ and coming to my website. I don’t have loads of content on this specific era and this is because I absolutely love 1 940s hairstyles. So today’s post is a bevy of wonderful 1950s photos of women and their 1950s hairstyles.

Photo booth images are a super resource for vintage hairstyle inspiration. You can usually see the style really well, like on our serious faced young women (Rose Morrison) with the plaid vest and a bobbed curl hairstyle.

November 1955-This photo makes me happy, and it’s because of the big smile on our adorable woman in the big chair. Her hair is perfectly curled and she has a great 1950s outfit on.

Well you can see in this 1930s image that the daughter has gotten her style from her mother. Fantastic 1930s dresses and that tilt hat..drool.
